TE Connectivity DYNAMIC 3000 Series - I/O and Power Circuit Connector System | DYNAMIC Family:
The D-3000 range are the central series in the Dynamic Family, it is used extensively as a combined signal and power connector in industrial machinery. There are two pin arrangements, the standard 3.81-mm pitch and the high voltage 5.08-mm pitch. The former is mainly for signal circuits and power circuits, the latter is for high-voltage power supply circuits. They are small but designed for large currents of 15 amperes per contact by using a newly developed copper alloy to handle the demand for compact high-power power supplies produced by the recent minituarization of devices.
The concept driving the development is, "We want the Dynamic series to handle all our customers' multi-usage applications. To do this, expand the variations of housing and mounting types". According to that concept, the D-3000 series terminals can be used for all housings in the same series, the extensive variations in these housings the Dynamic series can cover an array of demands eliminating the need to consider different connectors or makers for each application. The D-3000 series, which has already been on the market for over ten years since it was first developed, has evolved in response to customer demands. We are continuing its process of evolution even now.
D-3000 Features:
Terminal construction is twist resistant The D-3000 series uses a twist-resistant box type receptacle and tab construction concept (3 point contact) developed for the automotive market. It has a tab contact that produces consistent reliability under actual working conditions
Plating can be selected from three different types according to the application to optimize cost performance. Tin plating can be used under normal conditions for low mating cycles. For high mating cycle applications, 0.38 em gold plating can be used, and for bad environments 0.76 em gold plating is available
Two contact pressures There are two variations of contact pressure to provide the best contact environment for each application. It is possible to differentiate with standard contact pressure connectors for applications that need extraction resistance or multiple positions, or high contact pressure connectors for applications where vibration is present
Regardless of their size, these connectors can handle up to 15 amperes of current (temperature increase under 30 degrees). This is achieved with a newly developed copper alloy and a reliable three point contact construction
Obvious lock sound and feeling when mating means work can be done without mistakes, such as mismating (half-mating), even if the connection cannot be seen
The housing is keyed (with a slit), so differentiating between X keys and Y keys prevents mismating. It is also possible to make more key patterns by using keying plugs
